These Terms apply to the Covepet app, the Covepet waitlist, and related services made available by Covepet. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
1. Using Covepet
Covepet is designed to help pet owners keep health records, documents, reminders, and related information organized. Some features may change over time, and some features may not be available in every build, plan, or region.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Covepet
- Some features may require an account
- You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your credentials secure
3. Paid features and billing
- Some parts of Covepet may be available without charge
- If paid plans are offered, they may include monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions
- Current pricing, plan details, and trial terms are shown in the app at the time of purchase
- Payments made through Apple are charged to your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Refund requests are handled by Apple
4. Your content and data
- You keep ownership of the information and documents you submit
- You give Covepet a limited license to host, process, and display that information to operate the service
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload or share the content you provide
5. AI-assisted features
Covepet uses OpenAI GPT-based document extraction, classification, and summarization to help turn uploaded records into structured items. Uploaded documents and extracted text may be processed by OpenAI or a successor service used for that feature, and you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
6. Medical disclaimer
Covepet is not a veterinary provider and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
The service is for organization and record-keeping. Always use a licensed veterinarian for medical advice and urgent care.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use Covepet for unlawful or abusive activity
- Do not attempt to interfere with the service or access data without authorization
- Do not upload malicious content
- Do not reverse engineer the service except where the law clearly allows it
8. Availability, suspension, and changes
Covepet may add, remove, or change features. Access may be suspended or terminated if these Terms are violated or if the service needs maintenance, security work, or product changes.
9. Warranty and liability
- The service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law
- Covepet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- To the extent the law allows, total liability is limited to the amount you paid to Covepet in the 12 months before the claim
10. Governing law
For Canadian users: these Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
For United States users: these Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
